Animal Face Pocket Folders

Animal Face Pocket Folders

Say goodbye to plain school pocket folders when you add printable animal features and wiggle eyes! With just a few easy steps, you can transform basic school supplies into colorful kawaii critters that make you and your friends smile.

Now instead of organizing your homework by color, you can organize it by animal! Choose from a cat, a penguin, a panda, a pig, a bunny rabbit, and a mouse. Each animal has neutral colors so you can attach the pieces to bright colored folders. Maybe you haven’t encountered an orange piggy yet, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t cute!

Attach some wiggle eyes for the final touch of adorable!

how-to:

Step 1
Print the animal face PDF on cardstock and cut out the shapes.

Alternately, you could print the pages on full-sheet sticker paper. However, the sticker paper may not stick to all textured folders.

Step 2
Lay out the facial features and try them out on the different colored folders to find the combination you like. You could even try mixing up the animal face elements if you’d like!

Step 3
With the face elements setting out on the folders, start glueing the pieces down. Get the glue close to the edge and all over the back of the shapes, but try not to make it too thick.

Press the face pieces down onto the folder. For best results, place the folders under a heavy heavy book so the glue dries with the pieces nice and flat.

Step 4
Finally, glue on wiggle eyes on each side of the nose. Give them time to dry before you use your folder.

You can see here that placing the faces higher or lower on the folder really changes the look.

Leaving off the mouth is common in kawaii style artwork, but if you’d like to, you can use a marker to draw on a sweet smile or whiskers.
