Ch 3, then work 3 trb in to the 1st
Fasten off and leave enough yarn to sew the teeth on to the body.
Bats Ears (Make 2)
Ch 5, work 3 trb into the 3rd ch from the hook, ch1, then work 3 more trb into the same ch, sl st into first ch (turn work)
Ch1, dc into every st and fasten off leaving enough yarn to sew onto the spider!
Make Up
Iron the ears, wings and the teeth, to make them a little flatter to make them easier to sew on to the Bat Body.
Evenly space out the ears on the top of the ball and sew them on tying in the ends and hiding the yarn with the use of the needle in the bats body,
The eyes can be placed unevenly to make it spookier! You may have to use a smaller needle and thinner thread to attach the buttons onto the bat.
Using the White thread and the tapestry needle sew on the mouth line and stitch on the Bats teeth.
Hide all those ends that you don’t want to see, make sure they are fastened securely and hide them within the bat.
You can either crochet a chain to hang the bats or you can use ribbon or a couple of strands of thread. I crocheted a length and attached it to the top of the spider.
Don’t forget you can make multiple of these and in a mixture of colours!!
