Georgia Peach Inspired Easter Egg

It’s finally officially spring – hip hip hooray! We’re so excited to ring in the new season with this fun DIY Easter egg inspired by our home state of Georgia! Food Network Magazine invited us to participate in their United States of Easter Eggs feature and we can’t get enough of all 50 Easter eggs – you can see the full gallery right here.

If you want to make a peachy egg yourself this Easter, keep reading for the full instructions!

what you need:

how-to:

Step 1
Start by using a peachy orange shade of paint to give your egg a good coat. Let dry.

Step 2
Use another shade (we used —) on the spouncer to add some contrasting highlights.

Step 3
And use one more to add even more depth and interest. Your peachy egg should have a nice speckly coat of paint! Let dry.

Step 4
Cut a leaf out of green cardstock.

Step 5
Use a tiny dab of hot glue to attach the leaf onto the top of the dried egg. Voila!

The March issue of Food Network Magazine is available now – and don’t forget to take a look for this Georgia Peach in the United States of Easter Eggs feature!
