Who doesn’t love dressing up? Party props and dressing-up embellishments can easily be made using the Cricut Explore machine, and its online software Design Space and resized for any age! This project creates a crown, necklace and earrings using the Print then Cut feature of the Cricut design Space.

- Inkjet printer (previously calibrated to your Explore machine)
- 12” x 12” standard grip cutting mat »
- 12” x 12” Cricut metallic poster board, gold »
- 8.5” x 12” white cardstock »
- Cricut tool set »
- Gold cording – available in store

How to Make
1. Connect the Cricut Explore to the pc/laptop/Mac, log on to your Design Space account. On the landing page, search for the ‘Kid’s Crafts’ category, then locate and select the ‘Dress up Princess’ Make It Now project.
2. To create the project as designed, click ‘Make It Now’. To resize or alter the design, click ‘customise’. It can be resized as required by first highlighting the image and then dragging the corner point. The size appears in a black text box as the image is altered.
Top Tip! . . .
The printable images can only be resized within the dimensions of 8.5” x 12” white cardstock.
3. Print the printable images on white cardstock using an inkjet printer.
4. Cut the printed images and remaining images using the Cricut Explore. Glue the printed images on top of the coordinating poster board cut images; this reinforces the pieces.
5. Glue the crown and ring pieces together using head and finger measurements as a guide for sizing.
6. Use glue dots to secure the earrings temporarily to the ‘princess’ ears.
7. Cut gold cording to the required length and tie on to the necklace.
8. Present all the items to your ‘princess’ on a cushion to make her feel even more special!
